McCain-Palin's Radical Ties

Since who you know is now officially fair game for everyone, lets discuss John McCain and Sarah Palin's ties to extremist groups. Lets start with John McCain. Paul Begala mentioned this on Meet the Press, but I'll reiterate that John McCain sat on the board of the "U.S. Council for World Freedom" from 1981-1986.

The group in 1981 was dubbed by the Anti-Defamation league as a group that 'has increasingly become a gathering place, a forum, a point of contact for extremists, racists and anti-Semites.'" Their Mexican Chapter called the "blamed everything on Jews" and sent out newsletters belittling the Holocaust. They were also linked to death squads and Iran-Contra in Central America, but that was all in the name of "freedom" so its okay. Their basic goal was to assist Latin American countries in "liberation" from leftist groups, but eventually became nothing more than a paramilitary cliche. McCain says he left when he found out about their bad reputation in 1986, but the Anti-Defamation wrote about their extremisim in 1981 and they were controversial given their anti-semitic leanings long before then. How close was McCain to this group? Close enough that he could dine with them and promote them.

Of course we all know that Palin's husband is a member of the Alaska Secessionist Party. You know the group that wanted Alaska to leave the United States. This is the same group who's founder said "Damn America" and "Damn that flag." Palin attended their conventions as early as 1994 and actively courted them. Of course Palin addressed the group and told them to "Keep up the Good Work" and "God Bless You."

But the founder also has ties to Iran and actively sought the destruction and a terrorist war against the United States. He even convinced the Iranian Government in 1993 to let him speak at the United Nations convention to denounce the United States. Yes, the same Iran that wants to destroy Israel. And speaking of Israel, lets turn to Sarah Palin's radical church connections. Not does the church actively promote "Jews for Jesus" but Sarah Palin sat IN A PEW AND MADE NO OBJECTIONS when Jews for Jesus leader David Brinker said in her radical church that Jews had rejected the Messiah and needed to convert to Christianity. He also said in CHURCH again WHILE SARAH PALIN WAS THERE:

What we see in Israel, the conflict that is spilled out throughout the Middle East, really which is all about Jerusalem, is an ongoing reflection of the fact that there is judgment. There is judgment that is going on in the land, and that's the other part of this Jerusalem Dilemma. When Jesus was standing in that temple, He spoke that that judgment was coming, that there's a reality to the judgment of unbelief. He said "I long to gather you, but..." what? "You were unwilling." God never forces His way on human beings. And so because Jerusalem was unwilling to receive His grace, judgment was coming. He says, "Look, your house has left you desolate!"... Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It's very real."

So God is judging Israel because they failed to to accept Jesus Christ? That's why we got all this violence in the Middle East? She doesn't share her church's views she says. Obama doesn't share his church's views, but we gotta hold Obama to a higher standard than we ever would hold Sarah Palin don't we because he knew Reverend Wright and William Ayers and therefore MUST share their views somehow.

Lets not even bring up the fact that her minister said all those who criticize George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina were going to hell. And who can forget Sarah Palin's "anointing" as Alaska's leader in her church by Thomas Muthee, a Kenyan preacher who actively hunted witches in his native land, who preached at Wasilla Assembly of God no less than 10 times. He's the same minister that ran one woman out of her native town for being a "witch." And what did Palin say about this witch-hunter, she said that he's really bold and thanks to him she became Governor of Alaska.

Why is it that Obama's "connections" to some domestic terrorist (who BTW is somehow not in jail he's so bad) is worse than McCain's decades of bad judgment and Palin forcing her teenage daughter to marry because she got knocked up. Ultimately, I don't think any of this stuff matters, but people living in glass Witch Huts shouldn't be throwing stones.
